As we move into the era of Hideout 2.0, we need a mayor that has vision, commitment, experience, and leadership. Ralph embodies the principles of transparency and openness combined with a results-driven management approach. 

Several of my primary goals include:

• Putting an end to legal fees that consumed $398K (22% of your Hideout tax dollar), which is 8 - 10 times what our neighboring communities spend
• Put some of these savings into developing Ross Creek recreational amenities, a community center area, and a decent place to eat
• Maintain a ceiling on future residential growth when it compromises our views
• Commit to everyone having a voice in their community, not just a chosen few
• Build a fresh perspective, emphasizing balanced growth

Ralph brings his legislative, strategic planning and municipal economic experience from 3 towns, not just Hideout.

His public service includes:

• Hideout's town councilman for more than 5 years
• Vice-chairman of the Hideout Planning Commission for 2 1/2 years
• Vice-chairman of the Planning Commission of Highlands, N.J. for 2 years
• Member of the Atlantic Highlands N.J. Municipal Harbor Redevelopment Commission for 2 years which produced millions of dollars in tax revenues for the N.J. town  
• Chair of Hideout's Economic Development Committee (EDC) for 3 years
• Co-chair of Hideout's Wildfire Risk Mitigation Committee
• Member of Hideout's Budget Committee
• Produced 2 municipal General Plans (town master plans) in both Hideout and Highlands, N.J.

Before he recently retired to serve Hideout as a full-time mayor, Ralph's business experience includes his most recent 6 years with Amazon Web Services (AWS) where he was a global executive chartered to drive alliances and commercial business for his international financial services industry group.

He has been a Vice-president of business development and marketing for 4 publicly traded companies as well as running a successful start-up. His experience covers capital markets on Wall Street to global insurance. His early technology experience included working at the renowned AT&T Bell Laboratories in N.J. which employed 9 Nobel Prize laureates. He then spent more than a decade on Wall Street both in capital markets, and insurance where he was a broker and director of underwriting. He is a global speaker at major conferences on the subjects of finance and technology, and started Amazon's cyber insurance program.

Ralph holds master degrees in business (MBA) and science (MS) with an undergrad in mathematics and minor in engineering. He has additional certifications and diplomas in Risk Management and Insurance.

His volunteer experience includes serving on an international education foundation where he was responsible for acquiring millions of dollars in donations for the advancement of higher education in emerging democratic countries. He also served voluntarily on our national Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award team for the State of New Jersey.

Ralph also has a deep appreciation for the arts and produced jazz from where he met his wife Suzanne who was a performing artist and producer. In his spare time, Ralph enjoys playing his vibraphone and marimba, while his wife Suzanne plays her piano. Ralph also can be seen several days a week at the Basin Rec gym and enjoys a variety of sports.
